Culinary

STERLING FORBES  SCHOLARSHIP

The Sterling Forbes Endowed Scholarship was established in 2009 by Michelle Forbes in honor of her son Sterling Forbes, a culinary arts student who was killed in a boating accident on Louisiana’s False River.

  • Scholarship Award Amount: $500
  • Applicants must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 75
  • Applicants must have earned at least 24 hours of credit in Culinary Arts

Located across the street from the state capital on the banks of the Mississippi River in downtown Baton Rouge, Hollywood Casino has been committed to supporting the local community since they first opened their doors in 1994.

FORMOSA SCHOLARSHIPS IN PTEC

Founded in 1954 Formosa is a global leader in petrochemical, plastics, and a variety of other industries.

  • Scholarship Award Range: $400 – $1300 ($1300 during fall/spring and $400 during summer)
  • Eligibility Requirements:
  • Maintain a cumulative GPA of 50
  • Have completed one full-time semester at BRCC
  • Must not be receiving TOPS

CTE/Stem Fields

Capital One Need Based STEM Scholarship awards on the basis of a comprehensive process. Scholarships award amounts will be split between the Fall and Spring semesters. The award will continue to the Spring semester if the student maintains a GPA of 2.3 on a 4.0 scale in the Fall semester and continues enrollment.

The Allied Health Endowed Scholarship is intended to provide financial assistance to a student enrolled in an academic program in the healthcare field including Practical Nursing, Patient Care Technician, and Medical Assisting. This Endowment was established through donations from the LCTCS Foundation and the RPCC Foundation. The Louisiana Board of Regents provided matching funds through the Endowed Two-Year Student Workforce Scholarships Subprogram.

Ascension Credit Union Scholarship

The Ascension Credit Union Scholarship is designed to provide financial assistance to students seeking an Associate of Applied Science in Business Office Administration and/or an Associate of Arts/Louisiana Transfer Business Track. The $1,000/semester scholarship will be awarded for the Fall semester and may be renewed for the Spring semester if the student maintains a 2.5 GPA in the Business Office

Administration and/or AALT Business Track major. The Ascension Credit Union Scholarship is funded through the generosity of the Ascension Credit Union.

East Iberville INC Scholarship

East Iberville INC sponsors scholarship for students who live in the eastern portion of Iberville Parish and are majoring in Process Technology or Instrumentation/Electrical Technology. $2,000 scholarships are available for full time students (enrolled in 12 or more hours) and up to $1,000 for students enrolled in 6-11 hours. Preference is also given to those students who completed the EII PTEC1010 course in St. Gabriel, LA. East Iberville Industry Neighbor Companies is a consortium of petrochemical companies operating in the eastern portion of Iberville parish. With a mission ‘to develop, coordinate, and enhance good neighbor relationships to continuously improve our community”, Total, NOVA Chemicals, syngenta, Eastman, Koura, Olin, and Nutrien, provide funding for this high demand scholarship.

The Lambert Family/Curt Eysink Endowment funds scholarships for students majoring in an Allied Health Field or the Associate of Applied Science Louisiana Transfer program. NOVA Chemicals Endowment Scholarship

The NOVA Chemicals Endowed Scholarship is awarded to students enrolled in Process Technology or Instrumentation Technology. This scholarship may be renewed if the student remains enrolled in PTEC or Instrumentation and maintains a 2.5 GPA. The NOVA Chemicals Endowment was established through a generous donation from NOVA Chemicals in celebration of their fifty year anniversary of operations in Ascension parish. Additional funding was provided by the RPCC Foundation. The Louisiana Board of Regents provided matching funds through the Endowed Two-Year Student Workforce Scholarships Subprogram.

CF Industries Scholarship

CF Industries sponsors scholarships for students attending RPCC seeking degrees in Process or Instrumentation Technology, Drafting & Design, Industrial Maintenance, Industrial Crafts, or an Associate of Science Physical Sciences Track. Part time students (enrolled in less than 12 hours per semester) may be eligible for a prorated amount. Preference is given to students who reside in Donaldsonville, LA. This scholarship is made possible by a generous donation from CF Industries, a long- time supporter of RPCC and the RPCC Foundation.

David J. Villarrubia Memorial Scholarship

The David J. Villarrubia Memorial Scholarship was established in 2020 by the family of David J. Villarrubia to honor his long-time career in Instrumentation. This scholarship will be awarded to a full time student majoring in Instrumentation with an overall GPA of at least 3.0. This scholarship may be renewed for

one semester if the student maintain a 3.0 and remains an Instrumentation major.

RPCC C.A.R.E.S. Scholarship

The RPCC C.A.R.E.S. Scholarship is available to full and part-time (minimum of 6 credit hours) students enrolled at RPCC. This scholarship is funded through the generosity of the RPCC faculty and staff. Named for the RPCC Values of Collaboration, Accoutability, Respect & Inclusion, Excellence, and Sustainability, the ideal candidate will demonstrate these values in their coursework and extracurricular activities.

RPCC Foundation Academic Scholarship

With the support of our donors, the RPCC Foundation is able to offer Academic Scholarships for students enrolled in for-credit programs including Associates programs, Technical Diploma programs and Certificates of Technical Training programs. he amount and number of Foundation Academic scholarships are determined each year based on available funds and number of qualified applicants.

Awards will be prorated for those students enrolled in 6-11 credit hours.

RPCC Foundation Workforce Tuition Assistance

With the support of our donors, the RPCC Foundation is able to offer Workforce Tuition Assistance for our students enrolled in non-credit programs such as Non-Destructive Testing, Crane Operations, CDL, and Scaffold Building. The number and amount of Workforce Tuition Assistance awards is dependent on funds available and number of qualified candidates. Students must be in good-standing and may qualify for up to 50% of the course fees. Awards will be reduced by the amount of third-party funding.

Rubicon R.E.A.L. (Rubicon Empowering Adult Learning) Awards are designed to assist students with educational expenses while working. These scholarships (up to $1,000) are primarily focused on adult learners, typically considered “non-traditional” that desire to continue their education. Students must be majoring in Process Technology or Instrumentation Technology and have an established academic record with a cumulative GPA of at least 2.50. Recipients of the Rubicon R.E.A.L. scholarship will be allowed first right to test for Rubicon production/instrument technical post-graduation.

Solomon B. Acy Endowed Scholarship

The Solomon B. Acy Endowmen t funds scholarships for students with a documented disability who maintain a 2.5 GPA and have demonstrated the ability to benefit from their coursework. The number and amount of scholarships offered each year is dependent on available funds and number of qualified applicants. The Solomon Acy Endowment was created through the bequeathment of a trust established by Mr. Solomon A. Acy to honor the memory of his son Solomon B. Acy.
