Strengthening Career and Technical Education for the 21ST Century Act

Through the efforts in Career and Technical Education (CTE),academic and technical skills training delivered to youth and adults through the dedicated efforts of talented literate, numerate and qualified teachers, faculty and administrators at geographical and charter Local Education Agencies (LEAs) and postsecondary institutions, Louisiana’s program completers will acquire the core academic and technical learning skills they need to be life long learners,readily adapting to the changing needs of the workplace. They will possess specific technical (or occupational) skills in the career field for which they are prepared.
